My professional career, spanning over 15 years of clinical experience and authorship of over 70 peer-reviewed publications in respected scientific journals, has provided me with countless personal insights of the impact of vision on people’s lives, both positive and negative.

In 2010, my father was diagnosed with glaucoma. His diagnosis hit me with the realisation that I am at increased risk of developing glaucoma too. As a result, I started looking for ways to better support our eye health at an earlier stage to reduce risk. One question I kept asking myself was this: can we achieve better overall outcomes by focusing more on the underlying nutritional aspects of vision health? 

In particular, I was very intrigued by the scientific literature describing the benefits of bilberry, ginkgo biloba, methylcobalamin (vitamin B12) and nicotinamide (vitamin B3) for glaucoma, in addition to lutein, zeaxanthin and saffron for macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.

This question led me to work with an outstanding team of leading scientists and naturopaths to develop an innovative capsule combining 10 super nutrients - natural plant extracts, highly absorbed vitamins, and powerful antioxidants - to provide supercharged protection and support for vision health. This has taken many months of unstinting research and critical appraisal of countless clinical studies spanning the past 30 years.

In 2017, I travelled to Cambodia on an eye charity trip to deliver an eye health project in a local hospital. This experience profoundly impacted me; through witnessing the suffering of those significantly visually disadvantaged due to poverty, and at the same time, being inspired by their resilience and strength despite their daily challenges.

I returned home with a determination to find a way to empower people - all people - to take control of their eye health.
